She says, “So we are to believe that Amazon, which donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration, got the most favorable outcome and nobody made a call? Sounds like a huge coincidence.” She then asks the official to provide the committee with a list of cases she has recused herself from since being sworn in.
According to Omar’s post, the top labor prosecutor — who previously worked for Amazon — sided with the company instead of holding it accountable for working conditions. The clip focuses on her pointed questions during the hearing and does not show the full back-and-forth or what happened before or after.
Backlash Erupts Over Omar’s Amazon Attack
Some users questioned her comments on accountability, with one writing, “You really want to talk about holding law-breaking people accountable? Why are you withholding information from investigators regarding your corruption?” Another stated that “the lady who helped her fellow crooks in Minnesota steal billions of taxpayer dollars is working overtime to spin a story.”
Other commenters defended Amazon’s practices and criticized the post’s perspective on working conditions. One user with personal experience as a delivery driver said the conditions and pay are fair, adding that “you miss Omar, our fraudster in chief, have zero experience.”
