Some shows go on quite the rollercoaster. For Minx, season 2 got the green light from HBO Max, then was canceled, and now has been saved by Starz. The premium cabler will air the next outing of the comedy along with moving the first season to its platform.
It is not a random decision; on the contrary, it is fitting for Minx season 2 to move to Starz. The series is produced by Lionsgate, the parent company of the cabler. What seemed like a random decision was getting the axe from HBO after getting a green light, putting it in the same realm as Batgirl and Westworld, which were executed in an attempt to save money. The series and Westworld were pulled from the platform following their cancellations.

The comedy follows Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond) in 1970s L.A. trying to get her publisher to support the first erotic magazine for women. It was led by Lovibond (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), Michael Angarano (This Is Us), Jessica Lowe (The Righteous Gemstones), Oscar Montoya (Bless the Harts), Lennon Parham (Little Demon), Idara Victor (Rizzoli & Isles), and Jake Johnson (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).
Upon the making of season 2 of Minx, the show received a positive reception from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season holds a bold 97%. Audiences were not as into it with 39%, with some people finding the show to be problematic rather than progressive.
Ellen Rapoport (Clifford the Big Red Dog) is the creator of Minx, who will continue writing, executive producing, and showrunning for season 2. She executive produces with Paul Feig, Rachel Lee Goldenberg, Johnson, Dan Magnante, Ben Karlin, Annabel Oakes, Allison Silverman, Lara Spotts, and Bill Johnson.
It is unknown when the move will take place. As I checked Starz, the series could not be found. For fans, keep your eyes open when the switch happens.
