Miranda Lambert is in her “strong women” era, and she made sure to celebrate it on Instagram. On May 29, the 40-year-old country singer posted a video to her Idyllwind clothing brand’s feed, sharing country-inspired footage of herself all dusty cowgirl as she walked around a desert in jeans and boots.
With cowboys on horseback dashing behind her, Miranda was definitely honoring the Western spirit behind her brand, but her post was all about women. In the video, text discussed how “strong women” get to where they are. Lambert launched her clothing brand in 2018 and three years after fellow country star Carrie Underwood dropped her CALIA line.
Miranda Lambert Goes Full Cowgirl On Instagram
Filmed amid a setting sun and walking past large cacti, Miranda could easily have been in her home state of Texas as she enjoyed a parched desert setting.
Highlighting her hourglass figure in tight blue jeans with a bootcut finish, the Grammy winner rocked a plaid shirt in white and blue, going knotted-up and throwing in a denim jacket worn open. Including her beloved fringe accents from lapel and sleeve detailing, Miranda nailed her hard-hitting cowgirl vibe, wearing her light locks down as she made her way toward the camera.
“Strong women aren’t simply born,” text read, continuing: “They’re made by the storms they walk through.”
Women ‘Doing Bad*ss Things’
Miranda didn’t just drop the one video. She’s since returned to the Idyllwind Instagram to shout out “bad*ss women” in a new series, seemingly dedicating one post to each of the hard-hitting women she features.
Two days ago, the ex to Blake Shelton posed in a black dress with Caitlin Oponski, a.k.a. Cowgirl Cate.
Hugging Caitlin as the two smiled for an outdoor photo, Miranda wrote: “@idyllwind is starting a new series to highlight women doing badass things. Y’all meet my friend @cowgirl.cait. She runs a horse rescue non-profit (@luckybreakrescue).”
“I literally slid into her DMs because she seemed like a crazy rescuer like me, and I knew we should be friends. She’s a trailblazer with a big heart and she embodies everything @idyllwind is about,” Lambert continued.
Non-profits and animal rescue are both close to Miranda’s heart. The star runs her own The Mutt Foundation non-profit as she and husband Brendan McLoughlin continue to look after the many dogs they’ve taken in as rescues. Idyllwind is followed by over 340,000 on Instagram. Meanwhile, Miranda is followed by 4.8 million on her main Instagram.
