One of the key elements that make modern Tom Cruise movies attractive is the wild antics of the movie star by climbing skyscrapers, holding onto planes going into the air, and flying real fighter jets. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will deliver that, and you can get a BTS look in IMAX starting on December 15.
Every Mission: Impossible has a big stunt that everyone talks about, and with the IMAX look, we will see how one of those stunts was done. On Twitter, a teaser shows a ramp leading off the edge of a cliff. This is likely the motorcycle stunt that Cruise constantly trained for, which is seen in the trailers as he dives off the bike to parachute for a safe landing.

The jump took the dedication that Cruise is known for. This included 13,000 jumps and about 500 skydives in a year to nail it before production began. This does not account for a train that falls off the tracks, which has been spotted to showcase that the film will not let up on wild in-camera action that makes Mission: Impossible in IMAX arguably the best way to watch its cast do the wildest things imaginable for the sake of action-packed entertainment.
The seventh entry is the first part of a two-parter. Both films will be directed and written by Christopher McQuarrie, who is Cruise’s go-to man when it comes to writing and/or directing. He wrote The Mummy, Top Gun: Maverick, MI entries Fallout and Rogue Nation, and Edge of Tomorrow. He helmed Jack Reacher, Rogue Nation, and Fallout.
Part One will star Cruise with newcomers to the franchise, Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special), Cary Elwes (Stranger Things), Hayley Atwell (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Esai Morales (Ozark), Shea Whigham (Perry Mason), Indira Varma (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick). Returning stars include Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, and Rebecca Ferguson.
The film hit theaters on July 14, 2023. Part Two releases on June 28, 2024.
