A McDonald’s manager in Missouri suffered a health emergency while on duty. However, customers boldly decided to steal food instead of helping her.

A video shared on Reddit showed the shocking moment at least five customers walked around the kitchen of a McDonald’s outlet in Lindell, Missouri. The man behind the camera gave some context into the situation, saying that the customers were “making their own food” while the manager was “sleeping standing up.”

Meanwhile, the manager could be seen leaning on the kitchen counter with her head propped on her hands as she was having health complications with her blood sugar levels. With her eyes closed, she appeared to be rocking back and forth, struggling to maintain consciousness, while drooling.

The unconcerned customers did nothing to help the manager. Instead, they walked around her, helping themselves to the meals they wanted. One man could be seen packaging some fries into a to-go box, and another lady could be seen cooking the fries at the stove.

The man recording the video cheered as the customers picked what they wanted. “We at McDonald’s on Lindell, man,” he boasted. “Look at my boy on the fries,” he added, laughing. Speaking over the camera, he said that everyone was busy “getting their free meals in.” He then praised the customer on the stove. “Teamwork makes the dream work,” he said, tauntingly.

When the video went viral on the internet, multiple people condemned the actions of the customers, noting that they should’ve called for help. One user commented, “I mean, how hard is it to just call 911. But instead they gotta get theirs and talk nasty about someone who needs help.”

Another user pointed out that the man who recorded the video was disseminating evidence of the crime. “If you break the law, don’t record it,” the user wrote.

Some users questioned whether the manager was going to lose her job as a result of the incident. However, one user replied, writing that the company can’t let her go because she’s experiencing a medical emergency. “If McDonalds fire her, they have done a Burger King,” the user remarked.

Other users condemned the “lack of empathy” shown by the customers, calling it “shocking.” One wrote that the customers were “disgusting” for thinking of stealing food instead of calling 911. “I hope you all get diarrhea!!!!!!” the user wrote.
