A woman was at Disneyland in California having the time of her life before everything went awry. As she tells in her latest TikTok video, her family was riding on a ride called the Grizzly River Run when her mom got scared and exited the ride. What came after was a shutdown of the ride and employees escorting the family out of the park.

Adrianna (@adriannarodriguez24) was at Disneyland with her extended family. They were riding a water ride called the Grizzly River Run. On the ride, you get on a whitewater raft and it spins as it takes you down a river in the park. But Adrianna said when her mom got on the ride, she had a panic attack. According to Adrianna, this caused her mom to “jump off the ride without telling anybody.”

The ride ended and the family exited to catch up with her mom. This is when the park shut the entire ride down because of what happened. Adrianna and her family watched for “30 minutes” as the ride remained closed down. One of Adrianna’s family members discusses how they tried to calm down the mother. However, they were unable to until she leapt off the ride while it was starting. Disneyland employees evacuated everyone and immediately drained the water to the ride.

Adrianna records as Disney employees approach them to talk to them about what her mother did. One employee tells them, “When things like this happen, it causes an evacuation of the entire attraction and it’s going to be closed for a couple of hours.” They tell her that what her mom did was a “safety issue.” Then, they announce to Adrianna and her family that they’re all going to be “escorted out of the park.” When she asks if all of them have to leave, they announce that only her mom has to leave since she stepped out of the vehicle in motion.

Adrianna asks if her mom will be able to reenter the next day since she paid for several day passes. They tell her that she’s fine to return the next day. Adrianna, however, admonishes her mom and says, “She won’t be getting on any rides tomorrow.” They watch as she does the “walk of shame” and is escorted out of Disneyland by several security guards.

The video immediately sparked comments and opinions from viewers after its posting. One commenter simply asked: “How does an entire family lack accountability?” Another added, “It ain’t your mom’s fault she’s anxious, but it is solely her responsibility to manage that as an adult who knows better. Disney’s response is completely valid.”

Others mentioned that they aren’t a fan of how the entire family handled the situation. As one commenter stated, “Y’all laughing but this genuinely ruined it for other people.” Another commenter shared as their experience as a cast member. They shared, “Not only does it ruin the ride for other guests but it causes an Emergency Stop. This is where they have a whole list of things they have to do before they can restart the ride.” Commenters continue to share opinions on what happened as the video gains popularity on social media.
