If you’re a fan of 3d pixel art games, then Monkey Barrels is for you. It is an action-packed top view shooter that puts a fresh spin on old-school graphics. Initially released for Nintendo Switch, Monkey Barrels is now making its way to PC via Epic Games Store. To celebrate the moment, it is giving away a huge 40 percent discount. This price slash is available to the players who will pre-order the game before its launch date on February 9, 2021.

Monkey Barrels

Monkey Barrels is set in Crabbenwold Electro, post-apocalyptic Japan. This is where you can get to play and meet the game’s main characters: Masaru, Hanako, Kotetsu, Shibayama-san, and Dr. Echizen Crabbenwold.

Fight back the tyranny of the electronics manufacturing company (Crabbenwold Electro) by using multiple weapons. The game lets you equip up to four weapons: two main weapons and two sub-weapons. The main ones cover the guns, while the sub-weapons consist of support weapons such as grenades and shields. There are a total of 98 different types of weapons that you can mix and match depending on your playstyle.

Playing Monkey Barrels PC will give you a full range of customization options such as mouse and keyboard support, your own choice of keybindings, and multi-resolution support. And if you own a Nintendo Switch, it is capable of doing crossplay. Check out what else is new in this platform:

  • Cross-play with Switch – Using the game’s multiplayer mode called Banana Scramble, you can get to play against players worldwide using Switch.
  • 60fps and higher resolution – The game will have more stunning visuals.
  • Mouse, keyboard, and key bindings support – You are free to use your PC peripherals and set the game’s controls.
  • Last but not least is the 40 percent discount that will run until February 9, 2020

Monkey Barrels‘ regular price is at $14.99, but it is on its discounted rate at $8.99 on the Epic Game Store until its release on February 9th (EST).

This game reminds me of Mini Gore 2 that I played on mobile. What game does this remind you of? Let us know in the comments!
