The crossovers for Sega latest Monkey Ball title are spanning the company’s huge library of characters. With announcements for Jet Set Radio, Yakuza, and even Sonic the Hedgehog joining the roster, Sega is culminating many of their series greats. With Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania reviving the classic trilogy, it feels right for Sega to include many cameo characters. After announcing a paid Hello Kitty DLC yesterday, the expectations have never been higher. With Monster Rancher 1 and 2 DX releasing later this year for Switch, Sega is certainly drumming up hype for the series again. Suezo representing the series as a whole is a great choice. With the series having brief mobile games, the series hasn’t seen a real console title since the PlayStation 2. This morning, Sega announced the latest Super Monkey Ball DLC character will be Suezo from Monster Rancher.

When Does Suezo From Monster Rancher Release?

While the character itself is a fun inclusion for the series, Monster Rancher is known for its diverse cast of unique monsters. Including Suezo is a nice tribute to the original. Suezo is certainly a mascot for the series as it has been included in almost every mainline title. This is one of the first big representations the series has received in a long time. While $5 Super Monkey Ball DLC isn’t exactly the best kind of inclusion, it’s still a testament to the series iconic stature. With Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania shaping up to be one of the best editions in the franchise yet, Sega is pulling as much DLC as possible. Including classic cosmetic looks of characters and music, there’s even playable Sega Game Gear, Dreamcast, and Sega Saturn DLC. All priced at 5$, fans of Monster Rancher can pick up the Suezo character DLC on October 19. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania releases on October 5 for PC and all current and next-generation consoles.
