Seeking a fresh game on consoles that’ll spook you this Halloween season? Look no further! The survival horror game Monstrum, developed by Junkfish, will be launching with a physical edition on Friday, October 23. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

About Monstrum

Monstrum Physical Edition Out October 23 On Consoles

In Monstrum, you are stranded on an abandoned cargo ship with no one to accompany you but the nightmarish predators trying to hunt you down. These aren’t just generic monstrosities either, as they have unique abilities, strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. Brute force won’t work here. You’ll have to use your wits and the items that you can find to outsmart these fiends. You can hide from them, distract them, and, of course, run like there’s no tomorrow. Be careful though. As you’re trying to escape, you might just fall into one of the numerous traps laid around the cargo ship.

Still not spooked? Well, Monstrum has permadeath and no save points. This means if you get killed – you’ll have to start all over again. And what’s scarier to a gamer than losing all your progress? Each time a new game is loaded, the environment and monsters that you encounter will change. The procedurally generated levels mean you’ll have to use quick wits over memory to take on each challenge.

Think you have what it takes to survive Monstrum?
