Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen are mega superstars of different proportions. It makes sense that fans would react when Morgan mentioned Taylor’s name in fun during his Friday night concert in Indiana. But the reaction was larger and different than the singer expected. He may have just unintentionally started the Karma hitmaker’s next celebrity feud. By now, he should know that messing with her is risky. So it could be a game between the two superstars, and fans are choosing sides.
Taylor and Morgan Go Head-To-Head
On Friday night at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, Morgan Wallen received some exciting news. When the Last Night hitmaker took a break from singing to engage with his audience, he shared the news with his fans.
Morgan Wallen was happy to announce that he was told that his Thursday night and Friday night back-to-back shows broke attendance records at the Lucas Oil Stadium on both nights. Morgan thanked his fans for coming out and made them a promise according to the Daily Mail.
He bragged a little more about his accomplishment, saying it was an honor, and assured his fans that he fully intended to tell all of them the news during his tour. Then he added, “I’m going to say that until Taylor Swift comes to town.” But what happened next was unexpected. Even Morgan was surprised by the fans’ reaction when they began booing Taylor Swift.
Morgan Wallen Sets His Fans Straight About Taylor Swift
After the crowd began booing the mention of Taylor Swift’s name. Morgan Wallen told them they didn’t need to boo the singer. He also added that he knows that his fans have his back. However, he may need to be made aware of the fact that Taylor Swift’s fan base, also known as Swifties, are die-hard and committed followers.
Most do not take kindly to their pop queen receiving any insult. However, it was not Morgan Wallen’s intent for his audience to insult Taylor in the least. He said he would boast about his proud moment as long as possible. But he knows that Taylor Swift has been pulling in a full house every show throughout her Eras Tour.
No actual harm is done unless Taylor Swift decides to write a song about the country singer. Or better yet, unite her fans with Morgan’s and share the stage in a duet.
