NetherRealm announced the contents for the first Kombat Pack DLC for Mortal Kombat 1, yet what is the DLC’s release date? The first Mortal Kombat 1 DLC pack will include guest characters Peacemaker, Homelander, and Omni-Man. These characters aren’t available to download at launch, but you won’t have to wait too long for them to join the roster. Purchasing the Kombat Pack 1 is the cheapest way to get the first wave of DLC characters, but you’ll likely be able to buy the characters individually at release.

Update: The Kombat Pack was released in waves. It began rolling out in November 2023 and has now concluded as of July 30 with the release of Takeda Takahashi.

Mortal Kombat 1 director Ed Boone confirmed Omni-Man will be the first character for the Kombat Pack 1. Boone confirmed Omni-Man’s voice actor from the Invincible animated show, J.K. Simmons, will be reprising the role for the game. Boone also implied that Omni-Man will become available a few weeks after Mortal Kombat 1‘s launch.

Omni-Man

Omni-Man is the father of the lead protagonist of Invincible and one of the early antagonists. He pretended to be a superhero on Earth, hiding his true intentions to conquer the world with his species. His true motivation and ruthlessness were eventually revealed to the planet. His bloody assault will make Omni-Man fit right in with Mortal Kombat 1.

Ermac

Ermac was created with the souls of the greatest fallen warriors. He is one of the many Kombatants that originated from the Outworld. Ermac has been a consistent character within the Mortal Kombat franchise since first appearing in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

Peacemaker

Peacemaker is a DC Comics anti-hero who’s more than willing to get his hands dirty to get the job done. The character received worldwide attention for his prominent role in The Suicide Squad movie and The Peacemaker streaming show.

Quan-Chi

Quan-Chi is a prominent villain in the Mortal Kombat universe. He’s important in multiple Mortal Kombat games. He made Scorpion into a hellspawn in the original Mortal Kombat timeline.

Takeda Takahashi

Takeda was the fan-favorite character introduced in Mortal Kombat X. He’s the son of Mortal Kombat veteran Kenshi and was trained by Scorpion. Takeda uses a Kombatant style that fuses future technology and old-school ninja skills.

Homelander

Homelander is the all-powerful antagonist from The Boys streaming show and comic books of the same name. He serves as the Superman analog of The Boys, using his powers to be a “hero” but is a sadistic and violent man who uses his great powers for selfishness. Homelander is known for his gory action scenes in the show, making him perfect for Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
