Rocker Vince Neil‘s private jet was involved in a deadly plane crash late Monday in Scottsdale, Arizona. Neil’s jet is said to have veered from the runway and crashed into another plane, leaving one dead and several others injured.
According to the Daily Mail, the Motley Crue frontman was NOT on the plane at the time of the crash. However, Vince Neil’s longtime girlfriend, Raine Hannah, and her friend, Ashley, were on the plane, and both have been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
TMZ adds that Raine broke five ribs, and the dogs the women were traveling with survived the tragic incident as well. Worrick Robinson Law, the firm representing Vince Neil, released a statement saying, “At 2:39 p.m. local time, a Learjet aircraft Model 35A owned by Vince Neil was attempting to land at the Scottsdale Airport. ‘For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway, causing it to collide with another parked plane.
“On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane. More specific details regarding the collision are unavailable as this is a rapidly evolving situation, and an ongoing investigation exists. Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”
Rumors Claim Vince Neil’s Plane Struck Plane Owned By Actor Vince Vaughn
Video footage of the crash from the Scottsdale airport has been uploaded to social media. Rumors are circulating that Vince’s Neils private jet is reportedly rumored to have crashed into the parked private jet belonging to Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn.
So far, no official confirmation has been made of Vaughn as the owner of the other plane. The Scottsdale Fire Department said at least one person died on the scene. While three others were injured when the aircraft collided.
Poison rocker Bret Michaels, a resident of Scottsdale, took to Instagram to send out his thoughts and prayers to pal Vince Neil and family friend Rain and all those who were injured in the tragic landing. The news of yet another tragedy regarding a plane crash has fans upset.
“This is a tiny airport. It’s tragic that a life has been lost there today. So many questions,” one fan writes. “Flying has become SO dangerous. I will never fly again,” adds another. “Why are there so many plane crashes lately? This is very scary,” one more writes.
Airport officials reveal that the preliminary investigation appears to show the left main landing gear failed as the plane was landing, causing the collision. Vince’s manager, Allen Kovac, says the rocker’s heart goes out to the victims’ families involved. He’s thankful his girlfriend and her friend are safe. Kovac adds that the band is currently discussing ideas to help the victims’ families.
