Main Tank Software has published a press release about their upcoming multiplayer dragon fighting game Dragon Saddle Melee, coming to Steam on January 26.
The release date for Dragon Saddle Melee was revealed earlier this month on Twitter:

However, today’s press release discussed the game in greater detail. Dragon Saddle Melee was open to playtesters in November of last year, but for those who did not participate, today’s announcement revealed more about this new multiplayer dragon game:
“In Dragon Saddle Melee players jump onto the backs of neon dragons with the goal of jumping on other players’ backs to destroy them. The more opponents players destroy, the more points they’ll earn towards their win. The longer you survive, the harder each level becomes.”
Dragon Saddle Melee pays homage to the arcade games of the 1980s with retro-inspired graphics and level design. Players have access to power-ups that will help them claim victory in each level. Shields protect from incoming damage, and jetpacks allow for increased movement speed. The game features fast-paced, side-scrolling action in both single-player and online multiplayer PvP modes. According to the press release:
“One lobby supports up to ten players so players can challenge lots of friends to jump into the lobby together. Nothing is more fun than crushing your friends and taking home the win.”
Dragon Saddle Melee marks Main Tank Software’s debut on Steam. The developers shared a bit about themselves in today’s press release:
“Main Tank Software is a game studio founded in 2019 by two brothers in Atlanta. Main Tank Software makes compelling and innovative video game experiences with a focus on accessible multiplayer gameplay and the PC platform.”
Dragon Saddle Melee will release on Steam on January 26. Main Tank Software’s second title, Hexarchy, is an online multiplayer turn-based strategy game coming later this year.
