Jared Leto is being accused by nine women of inappropriate conduct, including alleged incidents involving underage girls. The 53-year-old actor is best known as the frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars and for his roles in films like “House of Gucci” and “Suicide Squad.” He is alleged to have engaged in inappropriate behavior over nearly two decades. In a new report, several accusers claim they were teenagers at the time of the alleged encounters.
The allegations were detailed in a new exposé by Air Mail, which reports that rumors about Leto’s conduct have circulated in Hollywood for years. One woman told the outlet, “It’s been an open secret for a long time.”
The allegations resurfaced after Los Angeles–based DJ Allie Teilz, 30, shared a 2012 Facebook post to her Instagram Stories. In the post, she claimed that Jared Leto assaulted her when she was 17. Leto, who has previously been criticized by some in Hollywood for being “full of himself,” was accused by Teilz of assaulting her backstage while wearing a kilt and a snow hat.
“You’re not really in LA until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… in a kilt… And a snow hat,” she wrote. “I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17.” Teilz also alleged that Leto was aware of her age at the time but “didn’t care,” calling his behavior “predatory, terrifying, and unacceptable.”
Anonymous Woman Claims Jared Leto Pursued Her at 16
Another woman, who chose to remain anonymous, spoke to Air Mail about an encounter with Leto in 2006. She said he approached her at Urth Caffé in Los Angeles when she was just 16. According to her, Leto was at the café with Ashley Olsen, who he was rumored to be dating at the time. “I looked down and it was Jared Leto,” she recalled. “We had a quick conversation, and he got my number.”
The woman claimed that Leto called her a few days later, recalling, “I don’t know if he was on drugs or what… it was the weirdest, grossest voice… [but] for me, it’s Jared, you know?”
She alleged their late-night phone conversations soon took a sexual turn, with Leto reportedly asking, “Have you ever had a boyfriend?” and “Have you ever sucked a d-ck?”

Model Laura La Rue, 33, also came forward, alleging she met Leto in 2008 at a Yes! on Prop Two animal rights event when she was 16 and he was 36. “He asked how old I was,” she told Air Mail. “I said, ‘I’m 16. How old are you?’” Despite her response, La Rue claimed Leto still requested her number and later invited her to his Los Angeles home, where she said he was “flirting” and “teasing [her] the whole time [she] was there.”
She further alleged that during the visit, Leto entered a room she was in completely naked, acting as though “it was normal.” “I thought maybe this was just what adult men do,” she added.
Jared Leto Denies Allegations Through Rep
In response, Leto’s representative denied all of the women’s allegations in a statement. “Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate,” they said. “Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto’s personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.”
