What Gizmo Might Bring to the Table in MultiVersus

Gizmo was a character previously leaked for MultiVersus back in August. According to the leak, the character would also seemingly function as a character similar to Pyra and Mythra from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by being able to Switch with Stripe, the main villain of the original Gremlins movie. teasing that something big was going to be announced today.

Further evidence of this idea is the fact that the video revealing Gizmo seems to only refer to Gizmo and doesn’t; mention Stripe at all, implying that they may, in fact, be released as one fighter.

In terms of a moveset for the character, items such as the bucket of popcorn and tricycle from the original movie could be seen, and the same leak that alluded to Gizmo also said that Stripe will likely use a revolver that he can shoot. There is also a buzz saw seen in the trailer, but time will tell what exactly is in store for this character when it officially releases on September 6.

Player First Games will likely share gameplay and information about what class Gizmo (and Stripe) is next week. Another major character fans have been anticipating in Season 1 has been Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, especially following the release of Morty last week. Rick is currently listed as simply “coming soon” on the MultiVersus roster page, along with the aforementioned Stripe as well as Black Adam.
