Last year was packed with excellent turn-based RPGs, and it seems 2026 won’t be the exception. For those who might have missed its announcement last year and the preview we did for it, the turn-based musical, People of Note, has finally announced its release date, but that’s not all. Players will get to experience a glimpse of it because a demo has officially launched on Steam, allowing you to feel the beat of this unique turn-based adventure, which promises to be one banger of a game.
People of Note Sets Its Release Date for April 7, 2026

People of Note puts you in the shoes of Cadence, a young singer who, after getting shut out from a contest, starts traveling through different areas to build a band with musicians of different styles. On top of that, there’s a looming threat on the horizon that Cadence and her eclectic new band will have to face together.
Beyond the musical mash-up, People of Note offers a creative take on the turn-based formula, making each fight feel like a performance. Cadence and her team will need to strategize in real time as the music changes, encouraging you to adapt to the new beats—timing will be critical when fighting.
To celebrate the release date announcement of People of Note, Annapurna Interactive, and Iridium Studios have also unveiled that this title will launch with a price of $24.99, but with a 10% discount at launch.
If you’d like to try this medley ahead of its launch, remember that the demo is also available right now on Steam only, and should give you enough playtime to get the hang of some of the core systems and listen to its superb soundtrack.
Remember to mark your calendar and wishlist People of Note, as the show is a few months away from hitting the road, and many turn-based roadies will want to jump into this unique journey.
