PopSlinger, the vibrant and colorful musical shooter, comes to PC via Steam next month. Developer Funky Can Creative announced today that the stylish game would be available on Steam on April 14th, 2022.
The New Retro visual style of the game is stunning. The 1990s anime-inspired art gives PopSlinger a distinct style that stands out among the crowd. Perfectly coupled with the visuals is a Future Funk and City Pop-inspired soundtrack. Music in the game is reactive, meaning the music becomes livelier and more intense as the challenge ramps up.
Funky Can Creative uploaded a new trailer showcasing the gameplay and music to mark the announcement. Check it out below.
Players take control of Ria Carbon, a regular girl turned goofy Saturday morning superhero. Load up her soda-powered gun with Cola laser, straw shooting Strawberry, and cap popper Orange flavors. Use these weapons to take down foes and save the planet.
End the reign of corruption and terror brought on by heartless bosses and end all conflict as Earth’s new savior. In PopSlinger, players engage in beat-’em-up style gameplay while slamming and shooting everything in sight. Work strategically to gain power-ups and also unlock new flavors for your soda gun throughout the game. Additionally, become untouchable by completing multiple perfect sequences to enter Dream Time.
Players can also summon Gin; a former hero turned fairy godmother. Gin can aid Ria in battle and also supply her with soda cans to speed recovery.
PopSlinger drops on Steam soon
Jose Luis Abreu, Funky Can Creative founder, had this to say about bringing PopSlinger to Steam.
Launching on Switch was a dream come true, but making it available on PC, where it can reach so many people across the globe is surreal. We can only hope Ria and Gin will bring as much fun to the new players as it did to us!
