Thanks to the MW3 and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded update, there is a ton of info that’s been leaked by data miners, promising huge changes for MWZ and the Zombies mode fans in Season 2. This includes the Warzone and MW3 Season 2 release date, new missions and easter eggs for the MW3 Zombies mode, upcoming weapons that are probably going to change the game’s meta, and more. There’s also one big update coming for Warzone, mixing the Battle Royale with DMZ for some reason.
MW3 and Warzone Season 2 Release Date
Judging by the current Warzone and MW3 Season 1 Reloaded Battle Pass schedule, Season 2 will start on February 7th. This isn’t confirmed info by the developers, but this method has proven right in every other Season of Warzone and stand-alone Call of Duty games with the Battle Pass system.
MW3 Season 2: What To Expect
- New MWZ mission for Act IV.
- Exfil streaks are coming to MWZ.
- A new Walking Dead-related easter egg in MW3 Zombies.
- Horde Point game mode comes back from Call of Duty: WWII.
- A new vest called “Ninja Vest” for MW3 Multiplayer mode.
- New camos.
- Two new weapons and a melee sword.
So, for the Season 2 update, there is a bunch of new content that’ll keep you busy for another month in Call of Duty. First off, we have the new MW3 Zombies missions keep your ducks in a row for the story continuation. Then there’ll be a new Walking Dead event for its new upcoming show, which will also have a small easter egg as well.
As for the Multiplayer mode, the most important change will be the addition of three new weapons to the game. The names of these weapons are in code, meaning that they could be anything; a rifle, sniper, SMG, you name it. But the leak also suggests that a new melee weapon is also coming to the game, which is some sort of sword.
Other additional content for the MW3 Season 2 update are the Ninja Vest and the Horde Point. The Ninja Vest might include perks like eliminating your footstep sound (like Covert Sneakers), and help you mount over objectives faster. The Horde Point is a game mode from Call of Duty: WWII, which is basically Hardpoint, but you need to defend the zone from attacking undead soldiers.
Warzone Season 2: What To Expect
- Gun trading machines will be back.
- New DMZ-like missions coming to the game.
- Task Force 141-themed Battle Pass.
Besides the three weapons that’ll come to MW3 Season 2, which you can use in Warzone too, three new changes are coming to the Battle Royale game as well. The first is the gun trading machine from Warzone 1. These machines will be scattered around the map, allowing you to trade your weapon for another gun and items like self-revive.
The second Warzone Season 2 change is the addition of quests to the Battle Royale game mode. This is like adding missions to the game, just like you did in DMZ. It’s not known whether you’ll have to choose the missions before the game starts or not, but this change is certainly for adding the Covert Exfil with purpose.
The Covert Exfil was one of the additions of Warzone Season 1 Reloaded, where you could leave the game for nothing. As mysterious as it sounds, it didn’t reward you with anything, putting you in second place instead of fighting for the winner’s title. With the weapon boxes and probably DMZ-like missions, however, the Covert Exfil will have its point in Warzone Season 2, allowing players to gain free blueprints for doing tasks and exiting the game before it ends.
In the end, it’s worth noting that MW3 and Warzone Season 2 Battle Pass is themed over Task Force 141 based on leaks. This comes from the image you see in the image above, where Kate Laswell is probably going to be added as the new operator, and all other TF-141 members will also receive their own skin on separate BA sections.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are currently available to play on PS5, PS4,
