With the rise of racism and hate crimes in America, more and more people are revealing their true selves. Among them is a Washington resident who apparently thought it was a great idea to gather a disturbing collection of Nazi paraphernalia. But it wasn’t just books and pictures of Adolf Hitler. This person also stockpiled dozens of weapons and military gear, including a machine gun. Thankfully, law enforcement wasn’t blind to what was happening. The FBI and the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office recently teamed up to apprehend the Nazi-affiliated suspect. During their raid, they discovered an entire room filled with military-grade weaponry. It didn’t take much for authorities to make the arrest.
Sheriff Derek Sanders later shared photos from the raid on his Facebook page, showing the chilling setup inside the Washington suspect’s home. He also explained the operation in detail and confirmed that two individuals were taken into custody. Both are currently in jail while the investigation into their firearms-related offenses continues.
They are now awaiting their court date, which is set for Wednesday afternoon in Tacoma. The sheriff also noted that, despite requests to set bail at just $5,000, the Superior Court sided with the prosecutor and set bail at $500,000 each.
Many people praised the FBI and the Washington sheriff for swiftly handling the situation and apprehending the suspects. They expressed outrage that someone openly supporting Nazi ideology could stockpile such a dangerous arsenal of firearms and military-grade weapons.
However, a significant number of others remain skeptical that the suspects will face real consequences. Their doubt largely stems from the belief that the current president won’t treat the threat seriously, with some even accusing him of harboring white supremacist sympathies. One user bluntly commented, “Trump will pardon them.”
Others responded with dark humor, suggesting that discoveries like this aren’t all that surprising for Washington. One Redditor joked that the raided house was likely just one of many hiding Nazi paraphernalia across the state. Another commented, “I wonder how many of these Nazi sleeper cells we have sitting around in our neighborhoods and cities, just standing back and standing by, waiting for the President’s signal.”
Some joked that the FBI had accidentally raided one of their own colleague’s homes. Others took the satire further, suggesting the suspects might soon receive a job offer from Trump or even land positions at ICE. One user quipped, “So, what… they’re going to be offered jobs in Trump’s cabinet now?”
