With fall on the way, it’s almost time for the usual range of sports video games to hit store shelves. Madden NFL 20 is already here. WWE 2K20 was recently confirmed to be on the way.
NBA 2K20 is almost here as well and it’s coming packed with plenty to do. Among the new features in the latest iteration is something fans of the series have never seen before.
This year, not only will you be able to take the helm of your favorite NBA team but you’ll be able to take on every single WNBA team as well. Most would consider this kind of inclusion a good thing.
NBA 2K20 and the titles that came before it have always leaned on realism. Getting to play as Candace Parker or any of the other stars of the WNBA adds to that realism.

Journalist Daniel Ahmad also noticed the video unveiling Candace Parker and the rest of her league in the game had an unusual number of “dislikes.”

While this kind of backlash isn’t entirely new, it seems to have hit a more fevered pitch this year. One Twitter user even asked Ahmad if the issue was that the women’s basketball players were replacing the regular male players in NBA 2K20.
As he pointed out, users can play with either league. NBA 2K20 will release on the PS4,
