After yesterday’s cryptic teaser, EA has announced that they will be releasing Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered for $29.99. PlaySstation 4,
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered includes all main DLC — the SCPD Rebel Racer, Super Sports, Armed & Dangerous, Lamborghini Untamed, and Porsche Unleashed Pack. Current-gen updates, such as cross-platform multiplayer, Autolog system, cross-platform sync, enhanced visuals, new achievements, an updated photo mode, and gallery, will also be available.

EA claimed that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit’s visual have been “upgraded for today’s generation of hardware”:
- 4K/60 FPS is supported on PC.
- PS4 Pro and
Xbox One X players can switch between 4K/30 FPS or 1080p/60 FPS - Base PS4 and
Xbox One will run at 1080p/30 FPS. - Nintendo Switch version runs at 1080p/30 FPS in docked mode, or 720p/30 FPS while undocked.
And although the official site states that Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered includes higher-resolution models, more objects and props, longer draw distance, higher resolution shadows, improved videos, upressed UI, higher resolution reflections, boosted textures, more particles, and improved AA/SSAO., a comparison video made by YouTuber CROWNED shows that there are barely any noticeable differences between the
It’s a bit of a shame that Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered doesn’t really increase the visual fidelity of the game. Especially since you can no longer buy the original Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit on Steam. The store page is still up but the price and buy button is gone. You can still buy it on Origin, though.
