Not long ago, we finally saw the announcement of the upcoming Need for Speed game. The game is releasing on December 2, and many people are excited to get their hands on the latest entry from the franchise. Now, we have the official announcement of the graphics modes that the game will have. Need for Speed Unbound graphics modes will target 4K and 60fps. This is amazing, given how few games actually manage to pull this off right now. We know that games like Returnal for the PS5 were able to make it. And now, seeing that Need for Speed Unbound framerate will hit the 60fps mark is amazing.
Need for Speed Unbound Graphics Will Target 4K and 60fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
Knowing that more developers are using the full capabilities of the new consoles is excellent. We know some games might struggle to keep up with 4K and 60fps. Take God of War Ragnarok’s graphics modes, for example. The game will target either 4K at 30fps or dynamic 4K at 60fps. While this isn’t bad, we are happy to know that the Need for Speed Unbound framerate won’t be affected by resolution.

While we don’t know if this is due to their new cel-shading style, it is great to see that we’ll get smooth gameplay with the Need for Speed Unbound graphics mode. Now, we don’t know how if the game will perform the same on the Series X and S. Usually, the latter has issues reaching that 60fps cap. Yet, we’re still hoping to try the game when it arrives in December. For now, all we can do is wait and play the others games that are launching soon. We got Bayonetta 3 launching this month, with God of War Ragnarok reaching gold before its launch in November.
