Nene Leakes disclosed that her son, Brentt Leakes was hospitalized following a stroke. The 23-year-old suffered a congestive heart attack and a stroke. However, the Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum has acknowledged the efforts of her supporters, thanking them for their concerns, love, and prayers. Nene also urged her followers to keep on praying for Brentt’s quick recovery, as his condition is a serious one.
Nene Leakes Speaks About Brentt Health Condition
The actress made a video on Instagram, revealing the condition of her son’s health. She said, “We wanted to be able to talk about it ourselves when Brentt was in a better place. So here I am, I would rather the correct thing be out there than something that is not correct”.
Nene Leakes disclosed that her son Brentt had congestive heart failure and a stroke. It’s quite shocking because he is just 23-year-old and really young to be suffering from such.
According to her, several tests were done to diagnose the cause of the ailment including HIV and the COVID-19 test. However, she urged her fans to keep Brentt in their prayers.
Nene Reflects On Her Health History
The TV star reflected on her health during one of her Facetime moments. Per E! News, some years ago, she had blood clots in her lungs which stirred the speculation that the disease might be genetic. Nene’s health panic started after Gregg Leakes (Brentt’s father) died of colon cancer at the age of 66.
Nene Leakes however stated that Brentt was a bit stressed out during Gregg’s First Anniversary after his death.
Although, she shared that she doesn’t know if stress has a part to play in his health conditions but the doctors have disproved that assumption.
Also, Doctors have wondered if drugs or an infection led to Brentt’s stroke and heart failure but the reality TV star made it clear that her son doesn’t drink or do drugs.
