New Netflix action film Extraction is a mini- Avengers: Endgame reunion – the thrilling debut trailer out now.
Produced by the Russo Brothers and directed by Marvel Cinematic Universe stunt coordinator and actor Sam Hargrave- aka Chris Evans’ former Captain America stunt double-is his directorial debut, the first trailer for Extraction is Netflix’s new action flick starring action icon Chris Hemsworth has dropped today (April 7th).
The MCU star plays Tyler Rake, a daring mercenary- coveted for his combat skills- who is sent to Bangladesh to rescue the kidnapped son(Rudhraksh Jaiswal) of an imprisoned crime lord.
The violent journey sees Hemsworth confronting a world of weapons, drug trafficking, and a city bent on not letting them escape alive while bonding with his young Bangladeshi charge.
The action-packed debut trailer is filled with fast-paced fight scenes, explosions, a bass-heavy background score, and few stark moments of vulnerability.
The film written by Joe Russo, produced with his brother Anthony Russo- who previously directed four Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War and Captain America: The Winter Soldier– is much-anticipated, with the high action pedigree that the brothers and Hemsworth bring to it.
Previously titled ‘Dhaka’ after the capital city of Bangladesh, Extraction was shot in Indian cities, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, with additional filming in Ban Pong, Ratchaburi, Thailand, and on-location in Dhaka.
The film also stars David Harbour of Stranger Things, Derek Luke, known for his break-out role in 2002 Denzel Washington film Antwone Fisher, and his appearances in popular teen drama 13 Reasons Why and Captain America: The First Avenger, National award-winning Indian actor Pankaj Tripathi of Mirzapurand Newtonfame, and a cameo from popular Bollywood star Randeep Hooda.
