Often, we hear strange terms that just make us raise our eyebrows, and one of the recent ones is “Godly Wife,” which a woman in Nevada wears either with pride or fear. Recently, a TikTok user who claims to be a marriage coach uploaded a video with his wife titled “Top 5 Things Godly Wives Do.” However, instead of looking like actual marriage advice or something for people to listen to, the whole video looks extremely misogynistic and controlling. It makes a lot of people wonder if the woman is in danger or experiencing an abusive relationship.
The video comes from TikTok user tommy_dianne, also known as Tommy and Dianne McCollister. According to the man’s social media accounts, he is a Marriage Coach who aims to guide Christian men to become better husbands. If you take a look at his TikTok account, there are many videos of him and his wife talking about many things involved in married life, albeit in a strange way.
The most recent eyebrow-raising clip shows his wife talking about the things she does to make her man happy, such as keeping chaos and gossip away from home, always being the one who pursues the man, respecting him in words and actions, and praying for him daily.
Whether that is good or bad advice is up for anyone to decide. However, the truth is that the man’s actions during the video make it seem as if the woman was forced to say these things. It doesn’t take a body language expert to see how controlling the man is. He walks around the woman, as if he were circling her, crosses her arms, and at one point, he hugs her in a way that just makes everything look a tad aggressive.
Many Redditors noticed this, too, and quickly shared their thoughts on the strange-looking clip.
“Blink twice if you need help.” said one user.
“And #6, I sob in the shower so he can’t hear me.” commented another user.
As you can see, just from these few comments, many Redditors believe the woman is saying these things against her will. There isn’t any evidence of that, but the situation is certainly strange. Hopefully, people out there won’t listen to this couple, as the way they are trying to convey their advice makes it look like a misogynistic and abusive relationship, which isn’t ideal.
