Mary Jane and Black Cat’s partnership is getting a little crowded in Marvel’s new comics this week. The upcoming Jackpot & Black Cat #3 finds Mary Jane trying to warn Felicia Hardy about her new girlfriend. After discovering that Felicia’s girlfriend, Amelia, is responsible for earlier chaos in the series, Mary Jane tries to reason with her friend. However, Felicia still supports her girlfriend, and this may be the beginning of a rift between her teammates and friends. Jackpot & Black Cat #3 comes from writer Celeste Bronfman and artists Emilio Laiso and Giada Belviso.

Blood Hunt, Weddings, And More

As Black Cat and Mary Jane deal with their issues, other new comics this week take readers all over the Marvel Universe. The Blood Hunt event rages on as more heroes get involved in the battle against the vampires. Black Panther: Blood Hunt #1 from Cheryl Lynn Eaton and Farid Karami follows a recently turned T’Challa. While the hero is compelled to carry out a key mission for the vampire overlord, he is still the King of Wakanda. Sharper teeth will not stop him from his Wakanda duties. Also jumping into the vampire fun is Midnight Sons with Midnight Sons: Blood Hunt #1. From Bryan Hill and German Peralta, this series brings Marvel’s last line of defense against the hordes of undead to the front.

Meanwhile, Marvel’s new comics this week also bring a big wedding to readers. X-Men: The Wedding Special #1 brings multiple stories surrounding the nuptials of Mystique and Destiny. A slew of writers and artists are celebrating the love of these two mutants with stories that shine a light on this decades-long love affair. However, it is not all fun and games for the mutants this week. Rise of the Powers of X #5 from Kieron Gillen and Luciano Vecchio continues to put an end to the age of Krakoa.
