Control was one of the greatest games of 2019. It was a good combination of impressive graphics and action. With its free distribution on Epic Games last year, many gamers played it. The game was good, and gamers started waiting for the other titles from this franchise. The developer studio Remedy Entertainment gave the good news last year, and they announced two new Control games are in the making. That was the latest information we’ve learned about the games, and they were pretty quiet about those games so far.
Finally, Remedy Entertainment talks about the two games they’re working on. As we know, one of them is a sequel to the first game, and the other one is a spin-off. We’re excited about both of these projects, and here is the latest information we heard from the developers.
New Control Games Are on The Way
To be honest, we were skeptical about those games’ destinies. Remedy didn’t announce anything since they announced the projects, which means a year without updates. The in-development spin-off codename is Condor, a four-player coop action in the Control universe. It sounds fun to play in the Control universe with friends; project Condor might be a great co-op game. The second in-development project is a sequel to the first game. Its codename is Heron, and the details are much unclear about it. But the developers say it’s in the concept stage, and the early-development stage goes well.
As the developers said to GameSpot, the games are in the very early development stages. It will probably take years to play them, and we shouldn’t wait for information like the release date soon. In relation, Remedy also said they’re planning to launch Alan Wake 2 in 2023. They still need to work on the game, so they can’t give an exact release date yet. Before Control‘s release, Alan Wake was the greatest game we’ve seen from Remedy. It’s lovely to see a new in-development universe from the studio.
