We can all agree that Forza is now one of the best driving games around, overtaking the likes of Gran Turismo in the popularity stakes.

If you’re a fan of the series, you may be pleased to hear that a new Forza game is about to be released, next month in fact. You may not be as happy to hear that it’s a mobile version due to be released on Android and iOS as well as being currently available on Windows.

Forza Street will release on mobile May 5th and, as the name suggests, is an entry focussed on street racing. According to the Microsoft blurb, that means you’ll be able to compete in adrenaline-fueled street racing anywhere you go.

Races can be a quick 1-minute affair, or players can take part in an endless story with multiple paths to victory. It’s a race for anytime, anywhere. So says Microsoft.

Take a look at the trailer below and see what you think for yourselves:

Forza Street: Pre-Register on Android Today

In all honesty, it looks quite nice, and it will certainly be interesting to see how it runs when the game releases. Games can look pretty great on mobile these days; the only issue I have is the controls. In Forza Street, they are said to be streamlined with a focus on timing and cinematic style. I’m really hoping they don’t mess it up in all honesty.

I know it won’t be the same as using the Xbox One’s fantastic triggers, but fingers crossed it is still fun.

Should you be interested, any player who gives Forza Street a try between May 5th and June 5th will receive a founders incentive. This incentive is a rare 2017 Ford GT, as well as some dreaded in-game currency.

All we can do now is wait and see how Forza Street turns out on mobile. Let us know in the comments if you’re excited about it or if you at least plan to download it and give it a spin.
