The Pokemon Company has released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Pokemon Sleep, the upcoming Pokemon-based sleep tracker app announced back in 2019.

The new trailer provides a more in-depth look at the gameplay and mechanics of the game, and how users will be able to make the most of its features and data. The release date has also been clarified. It is now expected to release sometime in late July 2023 for Android and iOS devices.

How To Play Pokémon Sleep

Find Your Sleep Style, Grow Your Snorlax, and More in Pokemon Sleep!

The gameplay of the Pokemon Sleep application allows users to track their sleep patterns and habits each night using an advanced sleep moderation tool. By leaving a smart device near their bed, the app will automatically begin monitoring the user’s sleeping behavior, including when they went to sleep, how long they stayed asleep, and what ‘style’ their sleeping behavior fits into to gauge their sleep score.

The app gauges almost every aspect of a user’s sleep, such as whether they toss and turn a lot, the sounds they make, and other such things.

There are a variety of sleeping styles that are unique to each Pokemon, each one falling into one of three categories: dozing, snoozing, and slumbering. Each Pokemon that appears when users wake up will have one of these three styles depending on how they slept. This will help fill up their Sleep Dex to include all of the unique sleeping styles.

In addition, users will be able to use the app during the day to feed their Snorlax various snacks, which will gradually increase its strength. When waking up, the app will multiply Snorlax’s strength by the user’s sleep score to determine its Drowsy Power. The higher the Drowsy Power, the more Pokemon are likely to gather in the morning.

As mentioned, the gameplay trailer confirms that Pokemon Sleep is expected to launch for Android and iOS devices in late July 2023, with pre-registration open right now. The Pokemon GO+ Plus device, which provides an interface between Pokemon Sleep and Pokemon GO, is also available for preorder and will release on July 14, 2023.

A special Pikachu in a nightcap will also appear in-game to help you raise Snorlax if you connect the device to the app.
