Moving to a new place can be stressful, and sometimes the experience comes with unpleasant surprises. A woman from New Jersey learned this the hard way, as she was completely appalled by the condition of her apartment.
In a viral video shared online, a New Jersey woman named Jacey appears to be freaking out over the condition of her apartment. She says she is “stressed out” and points to several issues, including a hole in the kitchen floor through which her neighbor’s apartment can be seen, a fire alarm that appears not to be working, and other problems. She also claims the apartment has rats, and rodent droppings are visible on camera when she shows her bedroom.
The woman is crashing out throughout the video, crying and shouting in frustration as she describes all of her life’s issues. The worst part of the whole deal is that she pays $1,200 in rent for the place, which doesn’t feel like a fair price for a location in such absurd conditions. On top of that, she also claims to be dealing with problems related to her car’s registration and insurance, painting a really grim picture of her life right now.
Social Media Reacts to Viral Video of New Jersey Apartment
While no one can deny that Jacey rented an apartment in terrible condition, the reaction to her video online was mixed. Some people said the “crash out is valid,” with others commenting, “This is not funny. I legitimately feel for her.”
Most folks were enraged that the apartment was even available for rent in such terrible condition. One social media user said, “Whoever is renting this place needs some jail time,” while another wrote, “Holes in floors are a hazard. This place is not fit for occupancy.” Others claimed they would not stop pressuring the landlord until the problems were fixed.
However, the New Jersey woman also received plenty of criticism online, as some viewers argued that she was at fault for not properly inspecting the apartment before renting it. One commenter wrote, “First lesson your parents are supposed to teach you is you never rent an apartment without seeing it first.”
