The highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, a modern remake of the iconic 2004 game, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater received a new gameplay trailer that continues to impress. This new story trailer offers a glimpse into the Virtuous Mission, the opening chapter of the game. This mission the trailer sets the stage for the unforgettable espionage adventure that follows, putting you back in the complex world of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The remake stays true to the original in terms of the narrative, characters, and voice acting while improving upon the gameplay and visuals.

Probably the most exciting aspect of Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is its updated gameplay mechanics. The controls of the original feel very dated if revisited in 2024, but the story hasn’t aged a day. As for the graphics, the lush environments of the jungle are rendered in great detail, making it the ideal backdrop for the stealth-based gameplay that involves putting a lot of people to sleep.

The music, another hallmark of the original game, has also been carefully preserved and, according to Konami, improved. The iconic soundtrack, combined with the improved graphics and gameplay, creates an atmosphere that will hopefully make this the definitive way of playing Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Konami has still not included a release date, making this trailer much less exciting than it would have been if it was shown at the end. Even a release window would have gone a long way. But it looks like some more gameplay footage is all that Konami has decided to share for now. The Metal Gear Solid series is finally coming back in a big way with this remake, and the remasters of all the old games. Konami has already hinted that the second volume of the collection will include Metal Gear Solid 4, a game that has been stuck on its release console for years.
