If you’re aching with anticipation for Season Three of Riverdale, you’ve come to the right place.
Recently, the CW has released a new promo for the upcoming season, which proves to be sexier and darker.

The new teaser reveals that the season will cover the consequences of Archie’s arrest in the Season 2 finale. This suggests that there will be flashbacks since Season 3 takes place three months after the last.
We see the redheaded hero cuffed in a police vehicle in one scene and in jail in another.
Perhaps the most surprising parts of the trailer are the cult scenes. We see Jughead Jones at a sacrificial altar alongside two unconscious (dead?) bodies, crying for help.
That scene ties for weirdness with the one of the mysterious horned figure. Literally, nothing is known of them or if they have similar brethren.
Reports suggest that Riverdale is bringing in supernatural elements this season. Not surprising, as its set in the same universe as the new Sabrina. Well, sort of.
The rest of the trailer isn’t that surprising to long-time viewers of the teen mystery. The teaser shows FP and Alice in bed together (inevitable) and Kevin with a new love interest. We also have more of the typical fanservice scenes of Varchie and Bughead.
The teaser is a teaser in the most literal sense. It gives you a small glimpse of little scenes, leaving you wondering. In this case, it’s only raised questions.
What do we know about Riverdale Season 3?
So far, we know that the gang will be high school juniors this season (Seasons 1 and 2 covered their sophomore year). We will also see the main cast play younger versions of their parents in a special flashback episode. And speaking of special episodes, brace yourself for another musical episode. Yes, you heard right.
Betty will also become more involved with the Serpents.
Oh, and Mark Consuelo’s (Hiram Lodge) son is playing his younger self. So, there is that.
Stay tuned for more story details as the news comes in. Season 3 will debut in the US on October 10th on the CW. Meanwhile, other countries can expect episodes to appear on Netflix a day after their original US airing.
Are you looking forward to more Riverdale? Are you not looking forward to more Riverdale? Either way, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
