The Owl House Season 3 Episode 2: New Clip, Air Date, Runtime, and More
New information has been provided on the upcoming The Owl House season 3 episode, For the Future. The episode was originally teased last month and slated to air on January 21, 2023, on Disney Channel, per cable listings. That release date has now been confirmed, and DisneyTVA Animation News has additionally confirmed that it will be 48 minutes long.
This is somewhat different from previous reports that all three specials comprising season 3 will be 44 minutes each. At this time, it is unknown if the final special, Watching and Dreaming, will be 44 minutes or longer.
A new 30-second clip of For the Future has also been released, showing Luz and Amity in what appears to be the abandoned Owl House, home of Luz’s friends and Eda and King.
The only official synopsis for For The Future reads:
Luz and friends open the portal to the Demon realm, but now they have bigger and stronger problems to deal with.
Several new stills for For the Future were also released earlier this month through an official Disney Channel commercial. The new clip and the still heavily imply that the episode will focus on Luz’s Palismen and what it will be once it finally hatches.
Season 3 of The Owl House officially began with the airing of Thanks to Them on October 15, 2022, previously teased by show creator Dana Terrace. The Owl House season 3 episode 2, For the Future, will officially air on Disney Channel on January 21, 2023. No released date for episode 3, Watching and Dreaming, has been confirmed at this time.
