Pulling from real life footage recorded on Nov. 7, when a mysterious light appeared in the Los Angeles sky, the trailer suggests that the official story behind the light military missile testing may not be the truth. In the promo, a group of people can be heard talking about a flashing bright light in the sky as they videotape what’s going on. It’s definitely reminiscent of former X-Files shows, showcasing what looks likes UFO’s and headlining phrases that indicate a distrust for the government.
The two-night season premiere of The X-Files airs on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at 10 pm ET/7pm PT (following the NFC Championship Game), and on Monday, January 25, 2016, at 8 pm PT/ET.
