Microsoft has always been attempting to stay one step ahead of the competition in most market areas. Where Sony has only started to offer bulk games with subscriptions, Xbox Game Pass has been thriving. Xbox Game Studios are a collection of triple-A and indie talent simply waiting to be showcased. Yet what remains to be seen is how those studios go utilized to further the Xbox brand. Most recently, Xbox purchased the gaming giant Zenimax and all of the subsidiary studios that come along with it. This included huge franchises like Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. The acquisition also came with Arkane Studios, known for Dishonered and most recently released Deathloop. Yet while this acquisition adds value to the Xbox brand, there are many questions. With many titles for all facets of Xbox Studios set to release later this year, a proper showcase is perfect to stream the latest news with ease. Announced today was just that, an upcoming livestream games showcase for Xbox and Bethesda titles will premiere on June 12th.
When Is Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase Scheduled For?
While the news is seemingly random, it’s not without some precedent since the Electronic Entertainment Expo has canceled its events for this year. With E3 officially called off, many big publishers have been looking for new ways to engage their audience and target their market more effectively. Capitalizing on the popular format of digital showcases, Xbox is planning a very new one, much like the one hosted for last year’s E3. Be sure to check back when the showcase goes live on Sunday, June 12th at 10 AM PST.
