Xbox Dominates April 2023 With New System Update
Microsoft has just revealed the details of the Xbox’s latest system update for the month of April 2023. This update promises to enhance your gaming experience, from new features to performance improvements.
This month’s system update is set to roll out this week, featuring two significant enhancements for Xbox gamers: a revamped search experience and a customizable active hours power setting for consoles. The updated search page boasts a fresh new look, gallery-style results, and easy navigation through visible filter categories using the RB/LB buttons.
Additionally, users can now search for content on YouTube within the Movies & TV tab.
You can access the new search experience by tapping the search button located at the top of the dashboard, via the magnifying glass icon in the guide, or by pressing the Y controller button anywhere on the console UI.
With the system update, players who have selected the Sleep power option can now customize their console’s active hours. This will enable the console to boot up quickly and support activities like Remote Play and mobile game installs during active hours. Consoles will fully shut down and consume only 0.5 watts of power outside active hours versus 10-15 watts while active.
After Xbox’s February System update, consoles were automatically switched to the Shutdown (energy-saving) power option. According to Microsoft, this option reduces power consumption by up to 20 times when the consoles are turned off, as compared to the Sleep power option,
