It is assumed that when you fly and check in your belongings, the airlines should take care of your luggage, but we know that this isnโt true. Suitcases are lost, travel on another plane in a country on the other side of the world, or are damaged, along with objects inside. Although I never imagined that some New York airline employees dumped human waste from an airplane onto the bags of passengers who had just arrived on a flight. That will be a moment these passengers will never forget.
The user sosafoods commented on TikTok as she was about to pick up her luggage, but on the conveyor belt, all the other bags had very suspicious stains on them. The worst part comes after reading the text, where Sosafoods explains that she had just arrived in New York on a Virgin Atlantic flight, but the employees dumped all the airplane’s waste on everyone’s luggage. Not only that, but sosafoods added in the video description that “It was the worst thing I’ve ever smelled in my life. They didn’t even tell us!!!“. The employees in charge of the bags did a poor job of removing them from the compartment and still thought it was a good idea to take them to the conveyor belt. They didn’t think about how they were infecting, stinking, and dirtying everything else.
Among the most noteworthy comments are those of chroniclesofpatty, who wrote, “Uhm is that not a major health hazard/violation?“. Because of these comments, many more users went on to recommend that those affected, such as sosafoods, sue Virgin Atlantic. Even the user hotskullmec shared a particular situation: “Sueโฆ my god daughter just sued Marriott for something similar. They settle quick to avoid the exposure.. don’t take the first offer they started out with 4 figures. My goddaughter ended up 5 figures with no lawyer๐ฏ๐ฏ”
If I had found myself in the same situation, I’m not sure what I would have done. Maybe my stomach wouldn’t have been able to stand the stench. I can only think of each of the suitcases and the passengers’ belongings. Perhaps a hard plastic suitcase, with a good washing and disinfecting, would have been enough to make it as good as new. The same with those people who line their luggage with plastic. Although I wouldn’t be so sure about the fabric bags, besides, they would be more complicated to wash; I could use pressure water. I hope that the inside of these bags will not be beyond repair or washing.
