New York Angry as Liberal Protesters Seize Gov. Hochul’s Office for Their ‘Socialist’ Agenda: ‘The rich owe us all’

Tax them all

Far-left activists occupied New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s office, demanding aggressive tax the rich measures as budget negotiations hit a fever pitch. It’s an interesting dilemma, as Mamdani sits in office, other Democratic leaders have to contend with pressure from their own voters to essentially go all in on dramatic policy changes ahead of a shaky midterm for the state. Republicans typically mock these protests as more and more wealthy businesses and citizens leave due to sky-high taxes already in place.

New Yorkers have occupied Hochuls office to demand that she tax the rich. This needs to be normalized across the country until we rid ourselves of billionaires altogether

In a post shared on the 50501 subreddit by user transendent167, a protest took place in which many occupied Governor Hochul’s office and demanded policy changes to spread the wealth. Signs said “tax the rich”, “our childcare or your donors”, and more were carried by everybody occupying her office, as many online representatives from both political parties had a lot to say about the incident.

Many Republicans feel strongly about liberals talking about more taxes for the rich, as New York already has sky-high taxes, and they feel it’s a socialist power move that is just going to force wealthy citizens and business owners to migrate to different states and ultimately hurt everybody living there. Here is what some folks had to say.

“Never let them get a moment of peace. Protest them 24/7. In their offices. At their houses. At their little smoozefest parties. Everywhere.”

“The rich owe us all generations of wealth and they owe us their own eradication.”

“Their office, when they are having dinner with their family, outside their home. Let’s normalize all of that.”

“This is the type of protesting we need. The offices and homes of people with power. Not blocking roads for the general public….”

As you can see, New York Governor Hochul is having a tough time in office. Between climate change protests, Democrats upset about taxes, and Republicans’ general disdain for her, she is in a proverbial hot seat, and change seems imminent.
