New York Blizzard Turns Into Art Exhibit as Neighborhood Makes Impressive Snowman Garden: ‘This Was the Most Magical Thing I’ve Ever Seen’

The world is so creative!

One will be surprised by what people could actually do if they had time off from the hustle and bustle. The blizzard in New York gave people both the opportunity and the medium to have some long-needed fun. A man did a walk-through of the park that had been turned into a very detailed snowman garden.

I LOVE BROOKLYN! This was the most magical thing I’ve ever seen. Which one was your favorite!?!? #nycsnow #snowman #brooklyn #blizzard #nycparks

“Just look at all the snowmen in this park,” the man said in a video posted on TikTok. The New Yorker captioned the video, “I love Brooklyn! This was the most magical thing I’ve ever seen.” The park had a variety of snowmen, from very small ones to large ones built into trees. He showed one carved like a little puppy, one with a pink nose, and even a whole tiered pyramid. As he walked through the park, he encountered a woman making ice cream. “She’s making ice cream in the snow,” he said, laughing. The woman offered him some, and he accepted. “This is the best day of my life,” the New Yorker stated, as he continued his journey through the snowy wonderland. He came across a snow figure hugging a tree, one shaped like a Hello Kitty, another like a Salmon cat, and one that was “the biggest snowman” he had ever seen.

Some of the figures were so detailed, like a giant duck and an igloo with snowmen in it. The man giggled at a lot of the figures, but was not the only one having the time of his life. He saw some people sitting in a real-life snow igloo that had “The people’s Igloo” written on it. “That [expletive] was whimsical as [expletive],” he laughed as he left, “It’s iconic.”

“This is a whole art exhibit,” a user wrote in the comments, agreeing with the man. “Snowmen are HARD to make! These are impressive,” another noted. “So many creative people in the world,” someone else said. “This is the most New York thing I think I’ve ever seen,” one TikToker shared. A couple of users were more emotional about the sight. “The people yearn for community,” one wrote. “People inside the igloos are proof we all just want to play,” another wrote, sharing that sentiment. “When American adults & children get one freaking day off in their whole life,” someone noted.

One netizen appreciated the mayor for declaring a snow day for New York public schools, “Mamdani giving the kids a snow day was the BEST IDEA.” A TikToker said, “This feels like an installment that’s been planned for months. Imagine what our country would be like if we all got random days off work and school to just go outside and PLAY.” A last user confessed, “Sometimes, I hate people, but stuff like this reminds me that sometimes, I also really love people. This is so fun.”
