Working in the service industry doesn’t seem like a very easy task. Videos online are constantly showing the crazy interactions these employees have with their customers, and most of them are not very pleasant. However, in a recent video posted by the Reddit account @Violet_Integer, a New York man is shown absolutely losing his mind on a random service industry worker. The man is seen going insane, as many have even labeled him a “Lunatic.”
The Reddit video starts off with the man and the employee, already in a heated argument. In fact, once the camera came on, things would get even worse, as the man would begin screaming horrible names at the woman, attempting to do her job. After calling the woman almost every vile name in the book, the man then began to threaten violence. The New York man claims that his sister will come to this establishment to fight the woman working. Even so, the employee does not back down in the slightest, as she even threatens violence right back at the angry man.
Reddit Reacts to New York Man’s Meltdown
Reddit users would flood the comments in support of the brave employee, as they would let their feelings regarding the matter be known. “I feel so bad for her,” wrote one. “She definitely held her own, though,” stated another. Someone else joked, “Somebody will find him, and his job will be bye-bye.” Finally, one other said, “That dude is scary.” It would appear as though many of the commenters feel horrible for the woman involved. As for the man screaming and threatening her? Most commenters can’t stand him, and rightfully so. Another customer can also be seen in the video trying to check on the worker following the altercation.
It is reported that the altercation stemmed from the New York man attempting to purchase alcohol without the proper form of identification. After not being able to provide his ID, the woman refused to sell him alcohol, as standard procedure. However, the man would not stand for this and would immediately resort to shouting and threats. However, this brave woman did not back down, and she handled her business.
The service industry looks like an active war zone from time to time. However, most Reddit users can only hope that the woman won’t have to deal with that level of rudeness again. As for the New York man, maybe it’s time to look into anger management classes.
