Ever since the death of Renee Good, there’s been positive discourse surrounding dismantling and rejecting ICE at all angles. However, as expected, conservatives across the world are praising ICE for making the right move. One New York man is stunned that social media accounts pushed by MAGA rhetoric are trying to change the narrative and actually praising ICE for Renee’s death. Weren’t those the same people whining when others were indifferent to Charlie Kirk’s assassination?
TikToker Nathancjun—Nathan—presents a montage of videos shared on TikTok that are either indifferent to Renee Good’s murder or openly approve of it. According to Nathan, there’s been a false narrative going around that people celebrating ICE are just bots. Seeing the content firsthand, that’s everything but the truth. In Nathan’s examples, people are laughing, agreeing with ICE, and even blaming the victim.
One MAGA TikToker, Nathan, argued that Renee Good was dead because “liberals have been gaslighting her into thinking she can do whatever the [expletive] she wants” for the expressed purpose of “social justice.” In other words, they believe it’s people on the Left who are spurring on ICE protests.
Another outlandish conservative asks in his video, “Hey, you know why I wasn’t shot today? Because instead of attacking ICE officers with my vehicle, I was at work.” And yet Vice President J.D. Vance is threatening ICE will be going “door to door” looking for illegal immigrants. Would that TikToker be saying the same thing if ICE showed up at his door?
It’s just dishonest rhetoric—a proxy for MAGA to gloat about because a popular Right-wing talking head was killed. MAGA on social media were quick to bemoan anyone celebrating that. It demonstrates conservatives will continue to lie, even when the footage says otherwise.
The truth never mattered to begin with, and these TikTok clips in Nathan’s video show the ugly realization. “Those shots to the face weren’t given… they were earned,” said one TikToker in Nathan’s video. That’s the general mentality.
What’s even worse is these ICE agents are regular people, almost always wearing masks for anonymity. “We work and walk amongst monsters in this country,” said one commenter. No true words have been spoken.
