Everybody is always talking about how toxic our food is in America, with so many items being processed and containing artificial ingredients. But if you walk into any gas station in America, you’ll probably see some questionable things. The most recent items to gain popularity are a drink called Feel Free, which contains kratom. Now, a New York man is speaking out against the drink after becoming aware of the dangers surrounding it.

Feel Free is a drink that contains kratom, which comes from a plant. Sounds safe enough, right? Well, Misha (@yourbestiemisha), a popular internet personality, is now alerting others to stay away from drinks containing those ingredients. Both are supposed to make you “feel good.” However, according to multiple letters sent by the FDA, it’s possible the kratom drink is causing addiction.

WARNING ‼️ Due to the ingredients kratom and kava this seems to be drastically harming people. I didn’t know anything about this and could have easily picked up a bottle sitting on a gas station counter! Be safe 🫶 #feelfree

Misha starts off his video by saying, “This is a warning specifically for parents but I guess really for anybody.” He recounts an experience he had at a gas station, involving a teenager of around 14 years old. Misha said the child asked, “Hey, can you buy me some Feel Free?” At first, Misha wasn’t sure what the child was asking him for and wondered if he needed food. The child responded with an angry, “No, I NEED Feel Free.” When Misha told him no, he said, “This young kid lunged at me and tried to take my wallet out of my hand.”

Misha continued shopping for his drink and went to the cashier. He told the cashier the altercation. The cashier pointed out the Feel Free drinks to Misha and said, “People coming in here five, six times a day to get this. It’s so addictive and people lose their minds. People act like actual crackheads or like they have heroin addictions over this little drink.” When Misha got home, he looked online and learned that people are going to rehab over this kratom drink.

Further investigation shows Feel Free was actually at the center of an $8.75 million class action lawsuit. This is due to ‘deceptive marketing tactics,’ as the company was not upfront about its ingredients, specifically kratom. Because of the troubles the drink has been causing people, one commenter said in response to Misha’s video, “U.S. Government really hates its people.”

Regardless of how the lawsuit goes, it’s best to be cautious until a resolution is found. Talking to your children about the dangers of this seems just as important as your conversations regarding any other type of drug. Even the dangers of drinking soft drinks! One person said, “As a mom of a 17 and 20 year old, the level of CONSTANT worry is insane.” It pays to stay vigilant during these troubling times.f
