If you didn’t see Jack Doherty on YouTube wreaking havoc with his pranks, perhaps you caught him on Dr. Phil. He was in an episode titled, “Neighborhood Prankster or Menace to Society?” and the latter honestly describes him perfectly. Even his own parents fear that he will injure himself gravely doing pranks for internet fame. His pranks have led to car crashes, blocked traffic, and even exploitation. Now, the New York stunt YouTuber has been arrested on some serious charges and, well, it’s just as hilarious as a good prank.
The video of the incident was posted on r/Livestreamfail. In the video, you can see Jack looking completely serious for once, as he’s surrounded by police officers in Miami, Florida. He tries to reach for his phone to possibly record but the cops quickly cuff his hands. One of the officers gets in his face and asks him, “Who the [expletive] are you, bro?” and that all he had to do was get in the car. It’s clear this guy doesn’t understand authority whatsoever or simply doesn’t care.
So, what charges is Jack currently facing? The less-than-funny streamer was charged with three crimes: possession of amphetamines, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. With these charges under his belt, it’s possible he could be facing up to seven years in prison.
Apparently, Jack didn’t really take the time to reflect upon himself when he was sitting behind bars. He said jail was boring and he’s going to continue to “be good and stay outta jail from here on out,” but that’s easier said than done.i
According to Redditors, Jack’s actions are even worse than expected. One commenter said, “I’m pretty sure he’s still making [expletive] of money with some Andrew Tate-like [expletive] of managing a ton of girls’ OF accounts. He’s not running out of money any time soon sadly.”
Another commenter replied to that, “Yeah he’s a modern pimp. A cyberpimp if you will. He exerts the same financial control over women as a regular pimp but because it involves only fans models it’s actually empowerment and he’s helping them build a financial nest egg. Great guy,” they joked.
Jake Doherty has since been released on bail, which he reportedly posted himself, for $3,500, and returned to streaming. It must be nice to burn money like that on stupid stunts and pranks while regular people are starving.
