A tense standoff unfolded recently when two women were out doing their weekly shopping, but collided with each other in a grocery aisle. Specifically, both women were pushing their shopping carts while they were out shopping, but when they bumped into each other, neither of them refused to move out of the other person’s way, which sparked a heated confrontation. The incident reportedly occurred in New York, Marlboro and is making the rounds online at the moment.
The video starts inside of a grocery store, and is accompanied by the caption, “Woman slams cart into another shopper because she wouldn’t move for her“. One customer is pushing the shopping cart, and is recording the footage, while another lady — who has purple hair and a green top — is stood in front of her with her shopping cart blocking the way.
The shopper recording is attempting to explain to the other lady about the intricacies of shopping etiquette, and she says, “It’s normal protocol in the grocery store to just be on the right side. I’m not going to move.” The other customer doesn’t respond to this straightaway, and simply stares at the woman. Second later, however, the purple-haired shopper aggressively slams her shopping cart into the other lady’s causing a loud clash of metal as they both collide together.
“Lady, this is not what you want to do. This is not what you want to do.” the camerawoman states clearly. Meanwhile, the other angry shopper starts yelling, “Help! Help!” and whips out her phone to start recording. A witness off camera can be heard saying, “You’re in the wrong, lady with the purple hair.” In response, the purple-haired shopper rudely shows her the middle finger.
As the other woman attempts to calm the situation down, the purple-haired lady continues to yell, “Help!” and just holds up her phone. “I’m not moving.” she calmly replies, though the other woman retorts, “I’m not moving, either. Let the cops come, then. It’s on camera here and it’s on camera here.“
With the tense standoff circulating on social media right now, commenters took to the comments section to weigh in with their two cents on the awkward confrontation. On TikTok, one user confirmed where the incident occurred, writing, “she yelled HeLp in Marlboro 🤣” Over on Reddit, one user expressed, “She rams the first lady’s cart, IMMEDIATELY whips out her phone, and then screams for help. SMH.” while another added, “She has clearly gotten her way A LOT. Comes from a family that enables that sheit.”
