There has been a new Nintendo leak that could tease several more films being released after the upcoming Mario film that will drop next year. The leak mentions how the world-renowned Japanese video game publisher is looking to get more involved in the old film industry.
If you didn’t know, the Japanese company has been hard at work with Illumination trying to make a Mario Bros. film, with the voice casting choices already causing quite a stir with fans around the world. But this new Nintendo leak is saying that this upcoming Mario film will not be the last time they get involved in another animated movie.
What Does This Nintendo Leak Consist of?
The Nintendo leak was found in a new copyright document associated with the upcoming Mario film. Two newly named companies were mentioned in the document, one known as “Nintendo Studios” and the other, “M. Brothers Productions.” These are a couple of offshoots of the overall Nintendo company, even if they haven’t fully disclosed any of the details quite yet.
They don’t have to confirm anything because this is Nintendo trying to make a start in the film business, two studios with very relatable names, it can only be that. Back in 2021, Nintendo announced that its future Mario film would be the first of hopefully many; the company aspires to progress like any other company after all. In an interview conducted at the time, Nintendo director Shigeru Miyamoto said that the company isn’t going to fully focus on any future film until it can meet the expectations for its current projects.
But for now, we probably won’t hear anything associated with this Nintendo leak any time soon, and with the upcoming Mario film not being released until April 7th, 2023 (and that’s without delays again), we’re probably going to be waiting a long time for any film project news.
