Nintendo usually likes to reveal games in their own way and E3 2019 will continue that trend. Via a press release, the platform has revealed their plans for E3 2019 including their Treehouse Live Stream, a Nintendo Direct, and 2 tournaments that will take place a few days prior to Nintendo’s turn at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 and Splatoon 2 World Championship tournaments will take place Saturday, June 8th at 11 AM PST. The Splatoon 2 World Championship will kick things off with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Championship 2019 airing right after. Following that, Nintendo will hold a Direct that focuses entirely on the games scheduled to release in 2019. The Direct will happen Tuesday, June 11th at 9 AM PST.

At some point during June 11th, Nintendo will also have its annual Treehouse Live Stream. This stream will give us a closer look at a few games and the developers who created them. The specific time for Nintendo’s Treehouse Stream will be revealed at a later date. Finally, Nintendo unveiled a free Warp Pipe Pass for those attending E3 2019. This pass will help reduce your wait time to demo select games. To register for a pass, you’ll need a Nintendo account. All Warp Pipe Pass details and more can be found at e3.nintendo.com.

With the retirement of Reggie Fils-Aime in April, former Senior VP of Sales and Marketing Doug Bowser is now at the helm for the revered platform. Here’s what Bowser had to say regarding Nintendo’s presence at E3 this year:

“We’re starting with some heated competitions and delivering new content the whole week,” said Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser. “Whether people are attending the show in person or watching from home, our goal is to provide them with the best possible Nintendo experience.”

With the likes of Sony and EA skipping E3 conferences this year, it’s nice to see that Nintendo is committed to providing a fun experience to everyone watching E3 with multiple events throughout the week.

What are your thoughts on this news? Are you heading to E3 2019? If so, do you plan on registering for a Warp Pipe Pass? Let us know in the comments below!
