Nioh 3 - All Warring States Era Collectibles

Nioh 3 has changed its approach when it comes to exploration, with most of the zones being open-field. This means that players will have to look far and wide to gather every Kodama, Chijinko, or anything else that’s hiding in one of the many eras you’ll visit. Speaking of which, the first zone you’ll get to play in Nioh 3 is The Warring States Era, and we’ve made a complete list of all collectibles that you can find.

(Note: This guide is a work in progress as we add images of the other areas.)

All Tenryu River Collectibles in Nioh 3

There are a total of 35 collectibles for this area, but we will be listing the hardest ones to find, and those that contribute the most for the exploration level, mainly Kodama, Chijinko, Wraiths, etc. Before diving into the exact locations, here’s the checklist:

Tenryu River Kodama Locations

On the other side of the beach, where you initially spawned.
Inside an enemy base. Unlocks after clearing the area.
At the camp that is protecting the border to the next area.
Inside a locked building in the village, you must enter through the roof.

Tenryu River Scampusses Location

Close to the initial spawn. Following the Scampuss will also lead you to the first Kodama.

Tenryu River Chijiko Locations

Overlooking the cliff. There’s a wolf yokai nearby that you should defeat first.
At the village where you find Kodama #4.

Tenryu River Enemy Bases Location

At the top part of the map. It’s a small camp that you must clear to get the Kodama.
Part of a side quest, near the border of the next zone.

Tenryu River Lesser Crucible Locations

At the westernmost part of the map.

Tenryu River Crucible Wraiths Locations

In the southernmost part of the area, near the border to the next zone.

Tenryu River Six Jizo Statues Locations

Right after clearing the second enemy camp.

Tenryu River Crucible Spikes Locations

In the middle of the map. Follow the fields and fight the large yokai; you’ll spot the spike below it.

All Tokaido Collectibles in Nioh 3

Tokaido is a bit smaller than the previous Warring States area in Nioh 3, so there are fewer collectibles. Here’s the checklist of the ones you should look out for:

Tokaido Hot Springs Locations

At the very end of the area. A quest will lead you there.

Tokaido Kodama Locations

At the easternmost part of the area. You can find it easily after arriving from the Tenryu River.
To the west of the temple, where you fight Mezuki.
In the middle of a pond. Follow the Scampuss to find it.

Tokaido Scampusses Locations

Near the border of the Tenryu River.
Near the pond, close to a Shrine.

Tokaido Six Jizo Statues Locations

After passing the pond and a group of enemies, on your way to the Lesser Crucible.

Tokaido Lesser Crucible Locations

Near the cave that leads to the Hot Springs.

All Hamamatsu Collectibles in Nioh 3

Hamamatsu is one of the largest areas in the Warring States Era of Nioh 3, with a total of 44 collectibles. Same as the two above, we’ll only list the ones you really need to increase your exploration level. Here’s the checklist:

Hamamatsu Kodama Locations

Right after entering through the Tenryu River border in a village.
Inside a building in the village outside the castle.
In the same village as the above Kodama.
Unlocked after beating the boss and accessing Hamamatsu Castle.

Hamamatsu Crucible Wraiths Locations

In the northern part of the village outside the castle.
Part of the large Crucible mission.

Hamamatsu Lesser Crucibles Locations

In the middle of the village. You need to clear it to enter.

Hamamatsu Chijiko Locations

Above the village with the Lesser Crucible.
After accessing the castle, head to the ramparts and shoot the Chijiko.

Hamamatsu Scampusses Locations

In the middle of the village outside the castle, after defeating the boss.

All Lake Sanaru Collectibles in Nioh 3

Despite looking like one of the smallest zones in the Warring States of Nioh 3, Lake Sanaru has a total of 33 collectibles. Here’s the priority checklist:

All Lake Sanaru Kodama Locations

At the northern entrance of the area.
On a small boat in the lake. You need to go through a small puzzle jump to reach it.
Inside the boat after clearing the enemy base.
At the end of the island that has two bridges and a Scampuss.

All Lake Sanaru Six Jizo Statues Locations

At the sanctuary on the east side of the boat. A quest will lead you there.

All Lake Sanaru Masters Locations

At the small islet. You need a Spirit Guardian ability to reach it.

All Lake Sanaru Lesser Crucibles Locations

On the road leading toward the island with the bridges.

All Lake Sanaru Enemy Bases Locations

The big boat that’s in the middle of the lake.

All Lake Sanaru Chijiko Locations

It’s on the bridge you take to enter the area.
At the top of a cliff on the road leading to Hamamatsu Castle.

You’ll find it on the small island between the two bridges.

All Maisaka Collectibles in Nioh 3

Maisaka is the most convoluted area in the Warring States, especially due to the Haunted Caves. If you’re heading there, here’s the checklist:

All Maisaka Kodama Locations

Past the gate on your way to the village.
Past the second shrine inside the cave.
At the top part of the caves, after passing the parkour section of the pillars with water.
On a ledge at the end of the pools of water at the bottom of the caves.

At the top of the lake, where the Torii Gate is. The head is on a rock below the statues.

All Maisaka Hot Springs Locations

At the end of the village where the Dark Realm and side quest is.
Inside the caves on your way to the final boss. You need to crouch through a small space to reach it.

All Maisaka Dark Realms Locations

At the village in the easternmost part. A quest will lead you there.

All Maisaka Crucible Wraiths Locations

At the lake where the Torii Gate is.
At the village with the side quest.
At the bottom of the caves.
Slime yokai on your way to the final boss.

All Maisaka Lesser Crucibles Locations

Exit from Hamamatsu Castle and take the road to the left. The Crucible is at the end of the road.

At a secluded location in the forest, where you get the Leaping Strike Fire skill.
At the entrance of the Haunted Caves.

Besides being the hardest area to pronounce in the Warring States of Nioh 3, Mikatagahara also has as many collectibles as previous areas, with the total being 36. Here’s the checklist:

All Mikatagahara Kodama Locations

At the entrance of the area, if arriving from the south.
On the broken-down tower, next to the shrine at the top.
On the broken-down tower, below the ledge where you fight a ninja.
Outside of the boss’s room, where the two enemies are.
On your way to the Pagoda in the next area.
Through a tunnel that’s below the yokai who throws giant rocks at you.
At the top of a rocky formation before the final shrine.

At the entrance of the area on the southern side. Follow the Scampuss.

Outside of the boss’s room.
Follow the lava river after activating the statue inside the Crucible.

The next Warring States area of Nioh 3 is Hamamatsu Hill, and while it is much smaller than the others, it still has plenty of collectibles, with the total being 27. As always, here’s the priority checklist:

We’re now moving to the furthest area in the Warring States: Futamata. There are 25 collectibles here, of which these are the ones you should watch out for:

Kodama 1 to 5: Normally, we’d list all Kodama separately, but all of them are inside the temple and pretty close to each other. Just keep following the mini-dungeon’s layout, and you’ll reach every single one.
