We know this winter hasn’t been kind to certain states across the country, with many people waking up to find their homes and vehicles covered in snow. While this is certainly a frustrating situation, some individuals approach it differently, with a more upbeat attitude. One of these individuals is a renowned influencer who has been sharing how he does several things despite his visual impairment. In his last video, this blind man from New Jersey was shoveling the snow from his driveway. Naturally, this wholesome video caught the attention of many, who quickly praised him for doing these things in such a positive way.
If you haven’t heard of him, he is Anthony S. Ferraro, a blind influencer in New Jersey who has been uploading several videos on his socials showing how he performs various activities, ranging from wrestling to shoveling snow.
In this latest video, he begins with his usual upbeat attitude, saying, “I’m blind, and this is how I shovel!” He then explains that it is always ideal to start from the top, as he once did the other way around and ended up working more, and emphasizes that he’s doing proper shoveling to make the steps safe for his girls. He also says how he does everything by feel. The shovel helps him feel where the snow is, and when he reaches the end, he starts scraping it. Then you can see him touch the step to feel if there’s any snow left, and if there isn’t, he moves on.
The video ends with the New Jersey man thinking he was done, only to find the driveway still covered in snow. He even threw a cheeky comment saying, “I’ll never see the end of it.“
Naturally, this video caught the attention of many users online and quickly went viral. First, because someone with a visual impairment did an excellent job shoveling the snow, and second, because he did it much better than other people.
“I feel like you actually do a way better job shoveling than the average person, because you are intentional to get down to the actual surface, when many people don’t bother to do that.” – Alison via Instagram.
“The positivity this man has is infectious.” – Tim via Facebook.
While it is certainly a beautiful video, we hope the snow slows down soon, as it has been pummeling New Jersey relentlessly.
