ICE is headed into yet another city to wreak havoc and they expect to get sleep? Protestors think not! ICE agents currently swept into Columbus, Ohio by the Trump Administration’s command. Their operation’s purpose? To allegedly target criminals, but we know that it goes further than that. Protestors recently gathered outside a bunch of hotels where they knew ICE agents would be spending the night after a long day of ruining lives. They decided to create a ruckus to show agents that they definitely aren’t wanted there.
TikToker Deedub (@deedubthe1) shared a video captioned, “No sleep for ICE” in front of some hotels in Columbus, Ohio. In the video, Deedub walks around and shows people the scene that took place one night when ICE agents were in their hotel rooms for the night. Protestors came in droves, blaring the horns on their vehicles and playing music as loudly as possible. The point? To show ICE agents they aren’t needed in Columbus and to hopefully drive them out of the city with noise. It’s miserable not getting sleep before a big day of deporting families, right?
Deedub then finds out that protestors were moving onto a second location. He said that they’ll be out here “all night” driving agents crazy. He then points to a protestor in front of the hotel holding a sign that states, “No Kings, No ICE, No fear!” This is the energy all these protestors brought to the area and we live to see it. Hopefully, there was zero shut-eye for agents in the hotel that night.
One commenter mentioned, “I live around here… I could hear you all from my house – my only complaint is it wasn’t LOUD ENOUGH!!!!” Another person stated, “Columbus is full of us. They hit the wrong city!”
All of this is in response to the fact that ICE ramped up their presence in major cities across Ohio. They’ve released “Operation Buckeye,” which is supposed to be used to arrest the “worst of the worst” criminals, according to ICE. However, when we let ICE into these major cities to detain alleged criminals, we’re essentially inviting them into our home to do whatever they want. We know ICE doesn’t stop at criminals. Pretty soon, immigrant families are at risk who did nothing wrong. It’s total chaos and it needs to stop.
