The Golden Globes are always a solid warm up to the Academy Awards show, and this year marks a special event. This year’s award show will be the 75th annual Golden Globes, and you can check out all of the major category nominees below.
Honoring movies and television, the Golden Globes is usually a bit more laid back than the Academy Awards. However, many of the nominees and winners at the Golden Globes can help predict future Oscar success. I know I’ll be rooting for Get Out at any opportunity (although it is a bit annoying that it is stuck in the “Comedy or Musical” category), and seeing a nomination for Ansel Elgort in Baby Driver was also a welcome surprise.
The Shape of Water netted the most nominations: seven. The Post and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri also did well, snagging six nominations apiece.
This is just a list of some of the major categories. You can view the full list of nominees here.
